Tour Notes Day 1

Sasha's Tour Notes From The Van

Tour Notes Day 1 – Southern Roots Tour

Liquid eyeliner and that lipstick that you paint on and then it dries cannot be done in the back of a van.

You should always pee before you leave the house.

You should know where everything is – there is no time to dig through your duffel bag to find something that you think is in there. I mean really know where every single thing is.

If Appa is wearing your sleeping mask, you can’t wear it (get a second sleeping mask).

One person cannot set up two things on opposite ends of a building at the exact same time.

It’s always okay to ask for help, most people will help you.

Everything takes pi times as long as you think it will (I knew this already, but it always helps to reiterate that rule).

Sound check never sounds the same as the performance. Never. Not once.

There’s no such thing as too many $5 bills and $1 bills at merch. Asking the bar for change again and again makes no friends

The Arizona desert is gorgeous at night and full of music, coyotes, birds, bugs …. All natural sounds … Not a man made sound for miles. Except for our laughter.

These people are magical. I get to be on the road with these kind, brilliant, funny, talented, generous people. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

Pack things up in ziploc baggies (sit on them to squarsh them and get all the airs out) and then you’ll know where things are and you’ll be able to find stuff easily and be able to cram more stuff into your bag.

Packing my tour bags…

Not even 24 hours into the tour and I’m so grateful, so happy, so sleepy.

Sweet dreams, whenever you get there…

Sasha and Appa!
